GATE 2026 will be conducted at various test centres across India. Although the examination will be held at different locations, IIT Guwahati, being the Organizing Institute, bears the overall responsibility of conducting GATE 2026. The examination is coordinated through zonal coordinating institutes that manage examination centres in their respective zones.

In case of any claims or disputes arising with respect to GATE 2026, it is hereby made absolutely clear that the Gauhati High Court, Guwahati, Assam alone shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to entertain and settle them.

GATE 2026 is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). From 2014 onwards, GATE examination has become purely a computer-based test, eliminating the need for pen and paper.
